Are You Serious?

“hey mis – hey mister bass”
The gig I had last friday @ mango bar (Recycle v1.0 000928 – check the gigs-page), which I first thought would be a total disaster, went absolutely ephking very-great! People went crazy cheering and dancing. Funny – one guy came up, all the sudden, asking me to play an astral projection track(!!!) – AN ASTRAL PROJECTION TRACK????? What is this?? Some kind of joke? ;D How am I supposed to play an astral projection track all the sudden? I thought I was supposed to play psilodump – hahaha ;D – well anyways, afterwards I actually got lots of applauses and people came up to shake my hand and asking me for music n stuff – not that I haven’t experienced this before but every time it’s still the same weird incredible feeling that is hard to adapt to. And I think “Am I for once doing something right?” Well it should be right I guess if I make people happy and pleased? Or hold on – nevermind, forget that last sentence….
I woke up early today – as usual – and I have been thinking about some stuff – as usual – and the word spinning in my head right now is “SERIOUS”. I have heard that word somewhere before.
Serious – serious – serious…. serious? What is so important about trying to get your art and behavior seem so serious all the time? I must have heard the same comment about my art at least 476 times. “Why can’t you ever draw/do/make anything serious?”. Do these people actually think people are being offended by material with elements of humor and experimental stuff (maybe they are?), like the purpose of my creativity would be to make fun of them or something? Or are they experiencing some weird unbalance in their internal world-order. Or maybe it’s just the classical fear of entropy?
serious \Se”ri*ous\, a. [L. serius: cf. F. s['e]rieux, LL. seriosus.] 1. Grave in manner or disposition; earnest; thoughtful; solemn; not light, gay, or volatile. Important; weighty; not trifling; grave. Hence, giving rise to apprehension; attended with danger; as, a serious injury. Syn: Grave; solemn; earnest; sedate; important; weighty. See Grave. — Se”ri*ous*ly, adv. — Se”ri*ous*ness, n
Serious…. wha?
Should I seriously believe someone who seriously claims he/she is being serious about being serious by seriously acting like a jerk and telling me to be someone else just to agree with his/her perversions of words like “importance”, “respect” and “maturity”? maybe I should…?
Funny thou how people often experience me as a “too serious” person ;) hehehe – But that’s what you get by judging the book by it’s covers I guess….?
But hey who am I, who are you, who cares (I know people who don’t) and what’s the clock(?) – ugh it’s 9 a.m on a sunday morning. I better get this homepage working and online as soon as possible. There are people waiting….so….err…bye…? – no wait first I’ll have breakfast
